Free DVD burning program for Mac

Burning to DVD on Mac is an attractive issue for Mac users, and free burning to DVD on Mac is a wonderful thing for Mac guys. The iDVD built-in on Mac is only a part DVD burning support for its limited importing video formats. I.e. iDVD can only import most video or image files supported by QuickTime 16:9 widescreen formats AAC, MP3, and AIFF audio files mat from iMovie: DV, high-definition video (HDV), MPEG-2 SD, MPEG-2 SD, MPEG-4 SD, MPEG-4 HD, and AVCHD.
So where to find a workable solution for most other MKV, AVI, MPEG-motion, iTunes M4V, YouTube FLV formats or even VOB format like the following friend:
"I just used mac the ripper to back up one of my DVDs, and so I have a video_ts file on my hard drive. What is the easiest way to get this file onto a dvd? Will iDVD do this? Are there any free programs out there that can?'
