How much do you know about Kdenlive


Kdenlive (KDE Non-Linear Video Editor) is an open source video editing software package based on the MLT Framework, which focuses on flexibility and ease of use. The project was initially started by Jason Wood in 2002, and is now maintained by a small team of developers.

Being based on the the MLT video framework and the FFMPEG project, Kdenlive can work with image, audio and video files of various formats. Kdenlive supports all of the formats supported by FFmpeg (such as QuickTime, AVI, WMV, MPEG, and Flash Video), and also supports 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios for both PAL, NTSC and various Hd standards, including HDV and AVCHD. Video can also be exported to DV devices, or written to a DVD with chapters and a simple menu.

DVD wizard
A basic DVD wizard allows you to burn your movie to a dvd, with a simple title
Many new keyboard shortcuts have been added for easier navigation. You can copy and paste clips. Magnetic guides have been added, as well as virtual clips that allow you to create "clones" of a zone. You can insert commented markers in clips, there is a new autoscroll while playing feature, and many more.
